Beyond basic testing for interface visibility, usability, reliability and so on, the ideal tester will have HomeKit-enabled smart home devices, particularly a thermostat and/or window or ventilation fan that can be placed under the control of the app. These are not required to participate, but current testing of HomeKit appliances has been limited.
