Hi, welcome to the I.C.E Breaker testing family
Your Phone Is A Security System ... LEARN MORE
This app utilizes your phones built in sensors to monitor your environment for danger. If danger is detected the police can be dispatched to your GPS location.
1) How Does It Work?
1.0) It operates in exactly the same manor as our home security products
1.1) You phone detects danger and asks for a 4 digit pin to confirm your safety
1.2) If you don't enter your pin we automatically activate the speaker phone and ask if you're okay
1.3) If our agents suspect that there may be trouble we will relay police to your GPS location
2) How Does It Detect Danger?
2.0) I.C.E Breaker was designed to use your phones sensors intelligently to detect emergencies and relay emergency workers even when you cannot.
2.1) The accelerometer to detects impacts: car crashes, falls, assault, etc
2.2) The microphone detects loudness: gunfire, screams, yelling, etc
2.3) The GPS is detects location and boundaries: We can tell Where you are, and if you're out of your normal bounds which may indicate kidnapping.
3) Why Don't I just Dial 911?
3.0) Just like a home security system, the app was designed to contact police before you have an opportunity, for example if you're unconscious, tied up, or fighting for your life. I.C.E Breaker was not designed to replace 911, it was designed to preempt it and then aid police in an investigation.
3.1) If you CAN dial 911 you SHOULD dial 911.
3) Can You Spy On Me?
3.0) There is a "Data Feed" option that shares you location and other information with Alyant every 10 minutes. This information is collected for the purpose of aiding a police investigation and for improving the service only. Engineers should have no access to your personal data when looking at your sensor data.
3.1) The Microphone only detects amplitude or "loudness" and leaves frequency or "pitch" out of the equation. This makes it impossible to understand a conversation.
3.2) The accelerometer isn't really useful for spying. It can tell us that you are being "very active" or "not moving" but we use that information after a trigger to determine in we should call to check your safety.
3.3) The GPS can be used to track where you are and where you spend your time. This is locked in the database unless the police need it for an investigation or you ask to see your map.
4) What About Privacy?
4.0) It's our policy not to collect information we don't need so that we don't have to worry about who sees it.
4.1) It is also our policy not sell any of your personal data to marketing agencies
4.2) It is also our policy not to spam our customers, It's not good for customer relations.
